Clap & Tap Chamber Orchestra - Summer Festival 2011

C&T Chamber Orchestra, Taiwan & Malaysia were formed in the beginning of 2009 on the invitation by D Wen, C&T LA. My violin teacher has been appointed as one of the technical advisors.

The official invitation leaflets to join their Summer Festival 2011 along with a 10 day Mediterranean Cruise were distributed yesterday at the Konsert Utama 2009. As campers, we will have the opportunity to work and play with our peers in a challenging and relaxed environment. There will be daily intensive workships and coaching from professional musicians to help enrich our instrument skills.

Starting from (A) Rome (Italy), the cruise will sail to (B) Dubrovnik in Croatia, (C) Kerkira, Nisos Kerkira, (D) Katakolon, (E) Thira, Nisos Thira, (F) Piraeus in Greece, (yes, that means cruising around the Greek islands), (G) Kusadasi in Turkey and ending at (H) Messina, Sicily in Italy. Sounds exciting already. Given the opportunity, we would love to join this, so that means we shall have to work hard to be chosen.

Dubrovnik is a Croatian city on the Adriatic Sea coast http://whc.unesco.org/en/list/95/
Kerkira (or Corfu) the second largest of the Ionian Islands, separated by a narrow channel from the Albanian and Greek coasts http://apollophotos.tripod.com/photos/greece/corfu/
Katakolon is the gateway to Olympia, a seaside town overlooking the Ionian Sea
The island of Nisos Thira, also known as Santorini (?)
Piraeus is the main port of Athens, the biggest port in Greece
Ephesus is located in Selcuk, a small town 30km away from Kusadasi
Messina was the most important port of departure for European knights on their way to the Crusades
