The concert started on time at DSP with the arrival of the TYT and his entourage which includes the CEO of MTT, the main sponsor for the program booklet and DS I Yeap, the new chairman of PESSOC. The orchestra was about 80 strong with some musicians from KL. The crowd was highly appreciative of the double bass soloist Wei in her Butterfly Concerto piece under conductor D Wen. After the interval, Mr Woon brought on some malaysian classic and patriotic songs for the enjoyment of all.
TYT could not attend the reception arranged for him so the rest of us took the opportuntiy to tuck in the food. Mum was talking to some of the parents while Dad managed to talk to S Pade, a former MPO principal french horn player about her involvement in MPO as well as the propect of me joining MPYO. And to finally meet up with CLC, the cellist from KL.
