The Junior Year Abroad Programme offers students the opportunity to explore and experience the British musical scene whilst living and studying within the thriving surroundings of an internationally recognised institution specialising in musical education and professional training for performers and composers. The programme is flexible and adaptable to the individual needs of each student. Those selected for the JYA programme will undergo performance studies and complementary studies with elective pathway, totalling 130 credits over 1 academic year.
The Flexible Programme of Study offers a range of programmes tailored to the personal interests and needs of individual musicians and are available at all levels from pre-undergraduate to postgraduate and are designed to support the development of students at various stages of their educational and professional development. Students can choose to study for one semester or two semesters (one academic year) up to a maximum of four semesters (two academic years).

We usually expect Grade 8 with distinction as a minimum requirement and clearly has that, assuming that he will make piano his principal study.
