Do you know that the Dec 2010 exam fee for ATCL Diploma is RM1180? A whopping sum for an exam considering that the UK equivalent is only BP204. The exchange rates for the past few months were hovering around 4+ so even if you take the exchange rate of approx 5.00, the RM equivalent is still overpriced by RM160. Taking into consideration the piano lessons for 18 months, the total cost to get ready for the ATCL would be in the vicinity of about RM7000.
Cello Grade 7 exam fee is RM453 against the UK equivalent of BP65.50. Again, the total cost inclusive of the 18 months' lessons is .... tadaaa, RM4800.
Another 4 months more to go, so i better move a notch up and work those fingers at least a couple of hours each day. Is that possible? Better make out a time table and with determination, only time will tell whether it's possible.
