We said farewell to James who will be leaving for Brandeis U and Rachel Y for Manchester UK with the hope that we shall meet again somewhere, sometime in the future. Yeah, it was the last Sunday for them in Penang before they make their way over the seas for further studies.
Later that evening, we went for a long drive to TK for a seafood dinner at Hai Boey. It was a new place for us and the scenary was beautiful with Pulau Kendi and the tip of Gertak Sanggul in the distance. Our orders include crabs, curry fish, shellfish, chicken and their signature tauhu with luffa. We did not order the lobsters because it was so very expensive at RM26 per 100g so a 700g lobster can set you back RM180. We enjoyed our food, the surrounding was pleasant, the set up of the place is better than TK Seafood. And that was RM114.90 for our food and drinks. Mum wants to come back to this place another time.
The week passed by rather quickly as we eased through our routines. I was just reflecting on the need to let go of things when the time comes for us to do so and just focus on the simple and laid back basics. Else, there will come a time when we acquaint oneself to the writer of Ecclesiastes in the chasing of things which do not benefit us.
I had class on Sat (and the next as well) to replace the 2 days for Hari Raya hols. That would mean 2 shortened weekends but compensated by longer hols. Yes, you can actually see me smiling, ha ha. We had grand uncle Peter Ferry with us at the Youth Meeting. Some of the youths from Sg Nibong & Sg Ara came over to join us. PF touched on Phil 2 on the humility of Christ and reminded us of the acronymn JOY - Jesus first, Others & Yourself last.
We wanted to finish off the last of KR's coupon before expiry but when we arrived at QB, it was time for buka puasa so we ended up having our dinner at Queens.
