Family Camp 2010

There was a bus and 9 cars going from Penang to Camerons for our family camp. The trip was 'noisy' in the bus but generally uneventful. Check in, tea, family hour, rest and 1st session. Highlight for that evening was the Bar B Q. A group of us went out for a short walk around the two narea at about 9.30pm - nice and cool.

2nd day started with morning devotion shared by Dr Y. After breakfast, KW led us in songs and back to our 2nd session. Lunch was soon thereafter, followed by our visits to Tea Plantation, Bee Farm and Strawberry Farm. Some of us were dropped off at Lord's Place for refreshments and scones and thereafter, for some pancakes. Steamboat dinner soon followed and we had wonderful fellowship around the table. WQ lead in the singing followed by the 3rd session and we ended the night with board games and fellowship around the 'food' table.

Rise and shine to our final day at camp. Session 4 really jolt us up from our mundane, careless living. We were reminded how we need so much to remove the ashes and re-arrange our prorities before God. Before we knew it, it was lunch and time to leave.

We made our way to Kea Farm for fruits and vege shopping. Incredibly, almost everyone has a bag or 2 loaded with some goodies, some even more. A little further down the hill, we entered a mist-filled drizzle for almost 10-15 minutes. Wow, it was just a incredible feeling, being enveloped by the serenity of the mist. On reaching the lowlands, the entourage stopped near the SPT temple outside Ipoh for some pomeloes and biscuits. We did not buy any though and dad opted for some 'thong sui' in Ipoh but alas, it was washing up time at the shop. Halfway back, the rain poured and we spent the rest of the evening 'in the rain'. We reached Penang at about 6.30pm, tired but it was home.
