Penang Homecoming concert

An opera-themed "homecoming" concert featuring Penang-born singers, musicians and conductor over 3 days.  Tickets are priced at RM68.00 and RM48.00 with early bird discount of 20% for the RM68 ticket category.

The concert will be a semi-lecture concert with introductions given by the conductor himself. The repertoire for this concert was also painstakingly chosen to cater to the public while at the same time, giving an opportunity for the singers to showcase their vocal and musical prowess. As the orchestra is only a chamber group, every single player is equally important. And we are delighted to have a group of dedicated musicians who share a common passion of presenting music at a high level.

Programme would include music and arias by Monteverdi, Handel, Mozart, Rossini, Verdi, Donizetti, Mascagni, Bizet and Gounod. The songs will be sung in original languages of Italian and French with supertitles in both English and Mandarin on a projecter screen.
