JOC Central 2008

The Junior Original Concert (JOC) is an opportunity for children studying at Yamaha Music Schools to perform their own compositions. This is the ultimate realization of the basic educational concept of the Yamaha Music School to freely express one's own feelings through music in a relaxed manner. It was started, not as a competition, but as a place for children to present their own compositions to the public in order to unleash their unlimited potential and encourage their growth.

For this year and the third year running, JOC Central was held at Plenary Theatre, KLCC. Participants were there for their sound check at 10am and the concert started at 3pm. There were 18 participants, either an ensemble group, duo or solo with the majority of them between the age of 7-12 years of old.
