Cello Trinity Grade 7

09 Sep 2009 was my first cello lesson with teacher L so that would mean it has been 14 months to prepare for Grade 7. Even though the learning process seemed a long time, it was the technical ability that needed to be enhanced and strengthened. I must say i have learned a lot in terms of techniques and playing.

So, my Trinity grade 7 cello exam is TODAY at 3.00pm and with me was my buddy CH who accompanied me on the piano. Mum drove me to Flamingo Hotel where i played out the following pieces (3 pieces x 22 marks):
1. Tarantella (Squire)
2. Sicilliene op.78 (Faure)
3. Nocturne Op.19 No.4 (Tchaikovsky)

The technical work will cover 14 marks and the supporting tests (sight reading and aural) another 20 marks. Hmm.. i think i should do well. Let's see what the examiner has to say in a couple of months time :)
